A recent success comes from one of our South African Graduates, Ovamba, a company who has received $1.28m in funding. 4-traders.com reports more in their article “GLI Finance invests $1.28 million in Ovamba”.

Ovamba Solutions Inc. and its Founder Marvin Cole are Graduates of the Johannesburg Founder Institute.

Ovamba is a peer-to-business platform out of Cameroon that matches investors with African SMEs. Created to support African economies, Ovamba strives to improve access to credit for the small and medium enterprise market. GLI Finance has agreed to fund this expanding financial lending company in exchange for 20% equity stake.

GLI Finance provides finance options to small and medium sized enterprises. This recent agreement will hopefully help Ovamba take steps towards their goal of expanding services to more regions of Africa as well as providing additional loan and investment resources.
