BuilderBuzz, an online contractor marketplace, aims to modernize the $300 billion home improvement industry. The service allows homeowners to post detailed descriptions of their home repair or improvement projects and choose a reliable contractor with a proven track record based on pricing, experience, and online reviews.

Co-founders Michael Lisovetsky and David Khandrius, graduates of the New York City Founder Institute, both have experience in home improvement retail, so they are familiar with the problems that plague the industry. Their goal is to increase homeowner trust and incentivize contractors to do great work by increasing transparency and competitiveness while decreasing price inconsistency and inefficiency.

BuilderBuzz currently serves New York City and plans to launch a beta site for the tri-state area in the next 6 months.
