Berlin Founder Institute graduate, Itembase, recently announced they have received a $3.25 million funding boost from former Skype investor, Morten Lund. In addition to backing the personal inventory platform, Lund is also assuming the role of Chairman of the Board.
“I think this is way more interesting than eCommerce – since that is soon (or already) red ocean”, said Lund. “At Itembase, we can help eCommerce shops to diversify and stay unique before the big players eat them alive.”
Itembase helps users organize their purchases, automatically creating a personalized inventory of manuals, receipts, and other important product information. The Berlin-based company recently opened offices in San Francisco, and plan to continue their US expansion with their new round of funding.
