Founder Institute graduate, Itembase, a Berlin-based startup that has been described as a TripIt for Shopping, recently announced the addition of Per Meurling to join as COO, as well as an impressive six figure seed financing round from both new and existing investors. With ambitious plans for growth on the horizon, CEO Stefan Jørgensen has seemingly played his cards right and in a relatively short amount of time, has achieved significant milestones a younger startup.
New investors include Silicon Valley-based Globumbus and the German Startup Group Berlin AG, both of which Jørgensen is “very happy to welcome such acclaimed investors to the pool of Itembase supporters”. Their recent funding efforts will be used towards the technical development of the Itembase platform. The product is not yet available for public use and is still in the testing phase, however according to Jørgensen, "The activity level from our beta user base is very promising and we have received great feedback from our partners". We wish Itembase the best of luck with their further development and look forward to seeing the final product in the upcoming months.
