Apparently, Australian founders have better "entrepreneur DNA" than those in Silicon Valley. These results come from pre-screening psychometric tests that all Founder Institute candidates are required to take, evaluating them on six key entrepreneurial characteristics: emotional stability, fluid intelligence, openness, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and extraversion.
More than 30,000 applicants from 130 cities have completed this test, with Sydney and Perth having higher average scores than Silicon Valley in almost every trait. Adeo Ressi, the Founder and CEO of the Founder Institute, is not at all surprised by these rankings, citing the thriving Australian startup ecosystem as a contributing factor.
