About the Keynote Speaker: Dr. Daniel Michael Böhi
Dr. Daniel M. Böhi, born in 1965 in Zürich, Switzerland, holds a PhD in Strategic Management from the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Informatics at the University of Zürich, where he also served as a Fellow Researcher at the Institute for Strategy and Business Economics.
With over 30 years of executive leadership experience in the international corporate consumer goods and private equity sectors, Dr. Böhi has held senior positions at prominent companies, including IBM, Nestlé, Danone, Capri Sonne, IDS Borjomi, and Danube Foods Group/Salford Capital Partners. His global career has led him to live in Germany, Chile, Mexico, Switzerland, Australia, Venezuela, Croatia, and, for the past 15 years, Serbia.
In 2019, Dr. Böhi was appointed to the Supervisory Board of Fortenova Grupa (formerly Agrokor) in Croatia, playing a pivotal role in their restructuring process. He has also served on the supervisory boards of several foodtech startups and acts as an advisor to startup accelerators in Switzerland. From 2016 to 2023, Dr. Böhi co-directed the Founder Institute in Serbia and Switzerland, the world’s largest early-stage startup accelerator. In 2021, he co-founded Alphorn Ventures, a firm dedicated to investing in foodtech startups during their scaleup phase.
Dr. Böhi resides in Serbia with his Serbian-Swiss wife, and they have two grown children living in Switzerland and England. When ever he has time he goes hiking in the Swiss Alps, or drives his motorbike.
