Mongolia has a fast growing startup ecosystem, and entrepreneurs here are lucky to have so many resources available to help them in their journey. However, many people don't know about all of the resources available, the differences between them, or what resources are right for them. At this online and interactive event, we will gather representatives from different entrepreneurial organizations, including Gund Investments, MONJA Accelerator, Intelmind Venture Studio, MCS Ventures and top local entrepreneurs, to outline the local resources and provide tips on how to build a startup in Mongolia.
About the Ecosystem Organizations:
- Gund Investments (https://www.gundinvest.mn): "Gund Investment" LLC was founded in 2016, as a restructuring of Mongolia Investment Holding /MIH/ LLC. With the restructure we have found a fundamental change in our philosophy of running our portfolio companies, aiming "To create value and ensure benefit for all stakeholders through the cooperation of employee-customer-shareholders". Our mission and business model of operation is based on System Thinking and System Engineering disciplines, where we continuously cultivate the practices in Mongolia. These practices became our compass for incubating a healthy business which creates value to its stakeholders, including the community.
- MONJA Startup Accelerator (https://www.mobicom.mn/en/m/1297#/): Under the MonJa Startup Accelerator Program, a six-month program will be launched to select three start-ups that meet certain criteria. Each of the three selected startups will be awarded a $ 30,000 contract of employment and will be eligible for free accommodation at the Moffice co-working center for the duration of the program. In addition to legal and financial advice from Mobicom Corporation and JICA, the management team will also implement a mentoring program.
- Intelmind Venture Studio (https://intelmind.mn): Intelmind is a companion and trustworthy supporter for many startups by incubating and investing in technology companies, providing direct leadership and operational support to reach their true potential.
- MCS Ventures (https://mcs.mn/en/mcs-ventures-is-taking-start-up-ecosystem-to-the-next-level/): For any start-up company to be a globally competitive company, well-established start-up ecosystem – a system to promote and encourage their growth, helping them scale in their various stages of development – is necessary. MCS Ventures has successfully launched “MStars Academy” – IT developer training programme, and “MStars Hub” – start-up accelerator programme to establish start-up ecosystem in Mongolia.
