In this third Sprint, you are going to aggressively start calling and emailing LPs to validate interest and build momentum towards your close. It is mission critical for the success of your closing that you speak with as many Limited Partners as possible this week. 

Week 1 – Understanding the Firm Objective: The Resident becomes oriented with the firm’s strategy, systems, and expectations. The Resident will: - Establish the weekly cadence, communication preferences, and success metrics with the manager. - Review firm materials, systems, and secure access to Decile Hub. - Analyze the firm’s thesis, LP archetypes, and positioning.

Week 2 – Data Cleanup & Enrichment Objective: The Resident strengthens the firm’s foundational data across LPs, deals, and the portfolio. All candidates to successfully complete VI are Decile Hub certified and advanced users of the platform.

Week 3 – Deal Flow & Analysis Objective: The Resident supports the firm’s deal sourcing and evaluation workflow.

Week 4: LP Research & Fundraising Support (Part 1) Goal: Support LP pipeline development and learn fundraising best practices. Learning Focus: Understand LP archetypes, motivations, and how they align with the firm’s story.

Week 5: Marketing, Brand & Content Goal: Enhance the firm’s public narrative and visibility while maintaining compliance with General Solicitation rules. Before publishing or sharing any external content, ensure you have read and understood the guidelines that prohibit public communication about the fund, its fundraising activities, or its investment thesis until the fund is fully closed. Learning Focus: Learn how venture firms and fund managers build credibility, visibility, and trust through compliant storytelling and professional communication.

Week 6: Automation & Efficiency Goal: Improve workflows and introduce time-saving systems. Learning Focus: Apply automation and process-design thinking to firm operations.

Week 7: Portfolio Support & Partnerships Goal: Support portfolio tracking and ecosystem engagement. Learning Focus: Understand post-investment value creation and relationship management.

Week 8: Special Project & Wrap-Up Goal: Deliver a tangible project that creates lasting value for the firm. Learning Focus: Combine learnings from all prior sprints into a measurable contribution.
