Lance is an entrepreneur, investor, advisor, and mentor. He founded Anonymizer in 1995 and took it to a successful exit in 2008. Lance has tremendous experience in starting companies, raising capital, and angel investing. He is also on the board of the North Bay Angels, and is a Global Entrepreneur in Residence with the Founder Institute.
This intensive 2 day bootcamp contains live workshops, assignments, and networking opportunities with your cohort.
This session covers all the components required to craft a successful pitch deck. We will also review some principles around slide design and how to structure all your slides to communicate what your startup does. We will conclude by reviewing tactics to verbally deliver a compelling pitch.
This session is the 'hands-on' component of the bootcamp. Participants can discuss what they have learned, receive feedback from the instructor on their pitch deck, and network with their peers.

Yes! This bootcamp is open to all aspiring founders with start-up ideas. You will learn the principles and foundations of what makes an effective pitch. That way you can be prepared when the time is right.
No! The first session covers all the core concepts and you will be told what content is needed for a pitch deck. You will have 7 days to put together your pitch deck and then present it to your cohort in the second session. We will be providing a lot of resources, templates, and supplementary material to help you craft the best possible pitch deck.
This bootcamp takes place online and can be attended virtually.
All participants can get a full refund, for any reason, by requesting the refund via email before the start of the bootcamp.
Yes! Founder Institute Alum will have free access to all of the educational videos, resources, and assignments from this (and any future) Founder Institute Bootcamp. All of the content will be collected and shared with Alumni within a few weeks after the conclusion of the Bootcamp, since our team will need to review the videos and remove any potentially confidential/ sensitive information prior to sharing.
Due to the small size of the cohort, we are not offering any scholarships at this time.
