#FounderShowcase Pitch Applications Due Friday June 29th
On July 25th we will hold the 11th Founder Showcase event, and over the previous 10 events we have unvelied countless early-stage companies that went on to success - including Thumbtack, RelayRides, Rentcycle (now Getable), Udemy, Breezy, Topicmarks, Kaggle, and many more. Over $40 million has actually been raised by previous contestants.
As a free pitch competition we get a ton of great feedback from contestants, but the below email sent to us three years ago after the first Founder Showcase may be the most gratifying;
"My name is Shelby Clark, and I’m currently a second year student at HBS. I founded a startup called RelayRides, and we were among the groups who presented in October. I wanted to let you know that we actually met an angel at the event that eventually participated in our seed round! Just thought I’d pass along the good news and thank you for setting these events up as they are very helpful to entrepreneurs" - Shelby Clark, CEO & Founder of RelayRides (12/16/09)
Well, RelayRides is now the world's largest peer-to-peer carsharing marketplace, and has raised more than $13 million from top firms like Google Ventures, August Capital, Shasta Ventures, and more.
If you are a seed-stage startup looking for funding or exposure, then Apply to the Founder Showcase Pitch Competition by Friday, June 29th at 11:59PM PT deadline. This competition is completely free, and any company less than 2 years old with less than $250,000 in funding is eligible. Get your applications in now.
The Founder Showcase, hosted by the Founder Institute's Adeo Ressi, is a quarterly startup pitch and networking event that gathers over 300 top technology CEOs, investors, and seed-stage companies in Silicon Valley to hear talks from leading CEOs, and help launch a promising startup to greatness. The 11th Founder Showcase will take place on Wednesday, July 25th at the Microsoft Campus in Mountain View, Califronia. In addition to the early-stage pitch competition, there will also be talks by Kevin Rose (Founder of Digg and Venture Partner at Google Ventures), Aaron Levie (Co-Founder & CEO of Box), and Hiten Shah (CEO of KISSmetrics).
Don't miss this opportunity to pitch in front of hundreds of investors and press.
