Through the Startup Weekend Fellowship, members of the Startup Weekend Community who want to start a technology company can apply to the Silicon Valley Founder Institute chapter for free, and the best overall applicant will be invited to participate in the Founder Institute's step-by-step startup launch program for free as well.

While all of our Australian Founder Institute graduates are exceptional, there are a few who stood out for their accomplishments in 2015. Below, check out our top performing Graduates in Australia in 2015, who all achieved significant milestones towards building meaningful and enduring technology companies aimed at improving the lives of people all over the world.

Eternal Eve, and Founder Estelle Oliveri

Eternal Eve is a mobile app that captures word of mouth recommendations of businesses in the beauty, health and wellness sectors in a private yet powerful girlfriend network. In 2015, this Perth Founder Institute Graduate raised a small amount of funding, and released their app on the App Store.

Geomoby, and Founder Christophe Baudia

Gigger is an “Airbnb for live music”, that connects venues and musicians with each other. This Perth Founder Institute Graduate was recently profiled on both WA Today and Startup Smart for their successful launch with over 200 bands.

Gofar, and Founder Danny Adams

GoFar makes every car a "smart car", providing any driver with real-time feedback to help them reduce fuel consumption, cut emissions, improve safety on the road, and cut time in traffic. This Sydney Founder Institute Graduate raised $200,000 on Kickstarter, and raised a round from the Sydney Seed Fund.

Machinam, and Founder Jillian Kenny

Machinam is developing an app-based resource that makes high school maths class engaging and relevant to real life and students' interests. In 2015, this Melbourne Founder Institute Graduate received funding from The Foundation For Young Australians and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Rest Alert, and Founder Dr. Felicity Millman

Rest Alert uses information from wearable technology to provide personalised alerts to inform individuals if they are at risk of fatigue impairment and what they can do about it. In 2015 this Perth Founder Institute Graduate received funding from the Amcom Upstart Accelerator program
