Silicon Valley Grad @Retailigence Lands $5.7M in Funding
Retailigence, a graduate of the Silicon Valley Founder Institute, recently announced they have raised $5.7 million funding. The round was announced this week by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, however, more details have not yet been disclosed. After raising their Series A round in September of 2011, the retail-focused marketing platform has expanded their business, picking up big-name customers like Radio Shack, The North Face, and Best Buy.
The Silicon Valley based startup specializes in increasing foot traffic in retail stores, increasing sales, and helping retailers navigate the mobile space. They also focus on providing hyperlocal ads, expanding the likelihood that customers will opt to purchase in-store as opposed to online.
The company was recently mentioned in the Forbes Article "Can An Hour-Long Aptitude Test Predict Startup Home Runs? Adeo Ressi Thinks So" and was touted as one of the Founder Institute's Best Graduates in the Summer of 2011.
