The Founder Institute is coming to Philly!

This four year old successful entrepreneur accelerator program is in 38 cities around the world - and we want to make Philly its 39th! The Founder Institute is the World's Largest Startup Accelerator, with a mission to "Globalize Silicon Valley" and help founders build enduring technology companies. Through the part-time entrepreneur training program, you can launch a company with guidance and feedback from experienced startup CEOs - while not being required to quit your job. The first FI-Philly semester will start later this Spring and run 16 weeks, from April through August. Nearly thirty startup CEO's will participate in this inaugural class. ...and to introduce us to Philly, we're holding several events so that you can learn more about the program and meet some of the team. Join us for this informational event where you can meet the local Directors, ask questions, and learn how you can launch a startup with the Founder Institute's help.

Gabriel Weinberg, CEO & Founder, DuckDuckGo, Angel Investor

Gabriel Weinberg is the CEO and founder of DuckDuckGo, a search engine. Previously he founded NamesDatabase, which was sold to Classmates.com in 2006. Weinberg was educated at MIT, with a B.S. in Physics and an M.S. in Technology and Policy. He is also an active angel investor and blogger.

 

 

Mike Levinson, CEO & Founder, WizeHive; Founding Partner, DreamIt Ventures 

Mike Levinson is a Founding Partner at DreamIt Ventures and co-founder and CEO of WizeHive, an SaaS productivity tool growing 100% year over year; and an active angel investor with a portfolio of over a dozen technology companies. Before DreamIt, Mike co-founded PTS Learning Systems, a company focused on corporate technology education and electronic performance support tools. Under his leadership, the company grew into a highly profitable international organization with over 200 employees and revenues of $30 million until he sold it 1999.
