Toronto Startup Intelocate Wins $100K Investment Prize from ResolveTO’s Pitch Competition

Posted by Joe Garza on 2017-02-15

Intelocate, a new startup out of Toronto, Canada ,recently won the prestigious ResolveTO's Pitch Competition Investment Prize of 100,000 dollars. The event is designed for enterprises and startups to get together, network, and innovate with one another. The event offers startups a chance to form partnerships, find financing, work on customer development, and attend seminars focusing on issues that matter most to startup companies.

Intelocate was founded by Yulia Vasilyeva, a Graduate of the Toronto Founder institute. While Intelocate has yet to launch yet, they had an impressive showing at the ResolveTO Pitch Competition and ended up taking the top prize of a $100,000 investment. What Intelocate offers is a service that provides an easy-to-use execution and communication platform for multi-site businesses.

Intelocate is a cloud-based system and mobile application that allows retailers to configure their own custom networks of vendor, sales, and brand associates to simplify executing big projects in the retail channel. The system makes communication between headquarters, retailers, and brand managers simple so that multi-site businesses can stay updated on what store layouts should look like, what brands are being featured, what the current sales and promotions are etc. The idea is to make brand consistency across the board easy for retailers to accomplish.

This idea is a big benefit for retailers who may have locations all over the country and the world. Brand consistency is vital to business, but it can be a real challenge adequately communicating and executing big roll-outs, and other promotions. Intelocate was born out of a desire to fill this very large need in the retail industry. It works to optimize all brand promotion, make customer experience consistent, and engage employees.

The market potential for Intelocate is huge. There are a number of small, mid-sized, and large retail chains all over the country, and a common issue that all chains face is brand consistency. Consistency is something that retailers always strive for. When they are consistently promoting their brands in all of their locations it is better for their business. Being able to make sure that all locations are laid out and set-up in a similar if not an exact same manner is also a huge benefit for businesses. The last thing retailers want is for their customers to visit two different locations and have two different shopping experiences. The goal in retail is consistency. This is what makes a name for retailers, and Intelocate can help retailers of all sizes achieve this consistency.

Intelocate is different from a lot of other systems in that it is simple to integrate and takes little to zero training for people to pick up. This is aimed save users time so they can spend more time focusing on doing what makes their business great in the first place, their own unique creativity and brand offerings.

Currently, the system and application are not live, however, retailers can sign up to be a part of the beta testing phase of the system which is currently going on right now. Interested retailers can sign up for beta testing at Intelocate's website. Being part of the beta program not only allows retailers to use the system but to also give their input for refining the system. Those who participate in beta testing will also receive preferred pricing once the system goes live.

The system has been optimized for computers, phones, and tablets, because Intelocate is aware that having mobile devices on the sales floor is not always going to be allowed in the best interests of business operations. Intelocate is already working with retailers in a number of different industries including fashion, speciality retail, tourism, hospitality, and more.
