Build a Painkiller Product, not a Vitamin, by David Jones

According to David Jones, “not talking to your customers before building a product is one of the biggest mistakes you can make.” Defining your customer and their needs through a feedback process will guide product decisions to make a “pain-killer” that solves an actual need.
David Jones is the co-founder of StreetHawk – a SaaS solution for retailers that provides "Right Person, Right Place, Right Time" marketing to smartphone users. David was also the founder and CEO of EmUTech (acquired by SurfControl/WebSENSE), SpamMATTERS and ThreatMetrix.
In this talk from the Sydney Founder Institute, David gives actionable advise as "hindsights and axioms" when searching for a product market fit with his past companies. He walks through case studies from his previous companies and explains the driving forces behind iterations, continuously validating the addressable market, consumer vs. enterprise customer development, and customer acquisition.
Applications are now open for the the next semester of the Sydney Founder Institute, which will begin on August 20th. If you apply by the Early Deadline of July 29th, you are not required to pay the application fee, and you have the best chance of being accepted. Click here to apply today.
