Founder Institute Leading in Perth’s Startup Ecosystem, According to City-Commissioned Report

Posted by Jonathan Greechan on 2014-03-11

The Founder Institute has been recognized one of the leaders in the Perth startup ecosystem, according to a report commissioned by the City of PerthThe report, which was compiled by the behavioral analytics team at Boundlss, also named Dash Dhakshinamoorthy, the Co-Director of the Perth Founder Institute, as one of the top influencers in the community.

Since launching in Perth last year, the Founder Institute has helped launch seven companies in the region, and was described in the Boundlss report as being a good example that “brings the community together” and can “attract people from other international startup ecosystems.” The Founder Institute’s efforts in Perth have also been previously profiled by several high profile media channels, including Perth NowStartup Smart, and The Fetch.

In addition to Perth, the Founder Institute is also currently open for enrollment in Sydney and test launching in Melbourne, its third Australian city.

Adeo Ressi, CEO of the Founder Institute, recently wrote about the Australian ecosystem in Business Review Weekly;

"You would be hard pressed to find a faster-growing start-up ecosystem than Australia’s, and this is very important. A lot of people dismiss the notion of an ecosystem, portraying it as a “fluffy” word that doesn’t contribute to actual economic value. But one of the main reasons why Silicon Valley is a hotbed for innovation is the collaborative ecosystem and culture that exists here.”

Based in Silicon Valley and with chapters across 135 cities and 60 countries, the Founder Institute has helped launch over 2,002 companies, which have created over 15,000+ new jobs. The company's mission is to “Globalize Silicon Valley” and create sustainable startup ecosystems that will create one million new jobs worldwide.

If you could benefit from expert training and feedback to launch a company, apply to the Founder Institute today. We are currently accepting applications across Australia, in both Perth and Sydney, and many other cities worldwide
