IndoTrading has secured $1.5 million in Series A round, which has been reported by Leighton Cosseboom in a TechInAsia article titled “IndoTrading grabs $1.5M series A funding to get more small businesses into ecommerce.”

IndoTrading and its Founder Handy Chang is a Graduate of the Jakarta Founder Institute.

IndoTrading is an Indonesian company that helps small business have an online presence and promote their products on its site. The site also helps merchants set up their own websites or ecommerce portals with customized domain names. With the support of the new funds, IndoTrading will grow the company’s tech department as well as expand into other cities. The firm will also use the funds to focus on developing its mobile offerings. In addition, the site wants to focus on the services industry, as Chang believes services are still an untapped opportunity in Indonesia.

IndoTrading’s new Series A round fund was led byOPT SEA, the Southeast Asian business arm of OPToup. The round was followed on by Singapore-basedGolden Gate Ventures,GMO Venture Partners, Jakarta’sConvergence Ventures (formerly Convergence Accel), Aucfan, existing investorRebright Partners, and an anonymous angel investor.
