Thursday, May 2nd beginning at 9:15am Eastern Time, is the Demo Day for the Techstars Toronto 2019 accelerator cohort! This is the second class of companies to graduate from the Toronto program, since it was inaugurated as the first Canadian Techstars chapter last year in 2018.

Founder Institute Toronto Director Sunil Sharma is a busy man - he is also the Managing Director of Techstarts Toronto.

Watch the full Techstars Toronto Demo Day, streamed live on YouTube here:

The 2019 Techstarts Toronto class builds upon the success of the inaugural class in 2018, from which 10 fast-growing technology companies were launched across several verticals including AI, food tech, virtual reality, financial services, construction tech, enterprise SaaS, and more. These companies were successful in raising well over $10M of follow-on capital collectively immediately upon graduation, as well as of growing their businesses into viable disruptive tech companies. According to FI Toronto Director Sunil Sharma,

This time our 10 startups are charging head-on into many new verticals including travel, crypto-currencies and secure custody, mobility, quick-service restaurants, cross-border payments, government, logistics, entertainment, financial services, and mental health.
