Speakers

  • Josette is the CEO and founder of Streamline Genomics (Techstars NYC’18). She was previously Vice President, Business Development for Mitacs, where she helped facilitate partnerships between university researchers and industry. During her graduate studies, Josette co-founded a consulting firm providing bioinformatics services to the Vancouver biotechnology sector. She received her Ph.D. in Genetics from the Terry Fox Labs at the University of British Columbia, followed by postdoctoral training at the University of Cambridge. Josette also holds an MBA from HEC Montréal and has served on a diverse roster of academic, industry, and research committees.
  • Aaron Carr is the Founder and CEO of Qarrot Performance, an integrated solution for HR, team leads, and small business owners to centralize all of their recognition, motivation, and celebration initiatives. Before launching Qarrot, Aaron was a 20 year executive for different loyalty & engagement programs, mainly Aeroplan. 
  • Michel Jamati is the Co-Founder and CTO of Lexop, a communication platform designed for legal and real estate professionals that puts technology and compliance at the disposal of its members. Before launching Lexop with his partner, Michel was leading new product development at CAE.
