Do you have a startup, or a strong idea for a startup? Could you use blunt, honest feedback on your ideas from experienced entrepreneurs? Then join us for the Founder Hotseat event, from the Founder Institute. During this event, members of the audience will pitch their ideas to a panel of experts, who will then rate each pitch on a score of 1-5 (no 3's allowed!), and provide helpful feedback. Even if you don't want to pitch, you are invited to register, hear startup ideas, and watch how the experts analyze and critique new businesses.

Who should Attend?

  • Anyone who wants feedback from leading entrepreneurs
  • Anyone who has an early-stage startup and wants expert feedback
  • Anyone who has an idea for a startup or an early-stage company
  • Anyone who needs practice and expert advice on pitching

Featuring

- Oliver de Leeuw (Local Director, The Founder Institute Amsterdam)
- Michiel Langezaal (Co-founder and CEO, Fastned)
- Maggie Feng (CEO of Wittenborg University, provider of an Amsterdam MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation)
- Daan Weddepohl (Co-founder and CEO, Peerby)

Michiel Langezaal runs the daily operations at Fastned, international provider of an electric car charging network along highways. He graduated in mechanical engineering from the Technical University (TU) Delft. After a few years he joined the business strategy department of A.T. Kearney for the start-up Epyon. Michiel became New Business Developer for this producer of fast charging equipment for electric vehicles. At Epyon, Michiel learned how to make a success out of a start-up. In 2011, Epyon was acquired by the Swiss multinational ABB electrical.

Daan Weddepohl is graduate of the Founder Institute. His peer to peer lending platform Peerby already raised $4.7M in a tough market that is expected to slowly but surely take off. Daan is not only good in pitching in front of investors, he is also skilled in convincing audiences and jury members during pitch competitions: he raised $125,000 from the Clinton Global Initiative and won the B&J’s Join our Core, App My City Award and The Guardian Tech Talent Competition.

Maggie Feng is responsible for the daily operations and strategy of the fast growing Dutch Wittenborg University. She recently took second place in the Dutch Ethnic Business Woman of the Year Award. Proud to be Chinese, speaking and working in three languages, she has this typical international entrepreneurial mindset. Maggie speaks English, Dutch and Mandarin and grew up in Beijing, China. She studied Engineering Management at the Beijing University of Technology and originally came to the Netherlands as an exchange student.
