Momentum is critical to fundraising, yet many founders immediately halt their progress by being unprepared. We will start with a quick orientation and then jump right into funding preparation.
99% of investors will never invest in you, because you don't fit their stage or thesis. This session will teach you how to qualify a targeted list of investors and be efficient with your time.

The best fundraisers craft a story about where the world is headed, and why their business will benefit. This session will cover everything you need to deliver an effective pitch.
The first week concludes with an open networking session with your cohort peers, with (optional) assignments and reading to deepen your understanding of all topics covered thus far.
Closing a round requires you to build a competitive market for your company's shares quickly, and privately. Week 2 kicks off with methodologies to help you do this as efficiently as possible.
Your round size, valuation and terms are critical 'features' of the investment 'product' you are trying to sell. This session will help you determine the perfect mix for any business.
Founders are usually at a disadvantage during negotiations, because most investors are seasoned financial engineers. We'll teach you the math and motivations behind every common deal term.
Getting the wire transfers is hard enough, but as soon as you close your focus needs to shift to managing your investors in preparation for your next round. We'll show you how.
The bootcamp concludes with a post-mortem style Q&A session, followed by networking and practice pitches with your cohort peers.

The real question is: can the Founder Institute be game-changing for your business? The answer is yes. Without FI, Udemy may have never raised any money.
FI's content and structure were extremely helpful to learn everything in a step by step manner. It saved me a significant amount of time and prevented me from making a lot of mistakes!
The biggest challenge I had during fundraising was explaining our value proposition. It was complicated. The advice I got around everything from FI was spot on!
The fundraising journey will (typically) last several months. The Startup Funding Bootcamp is suited for both founders actively raising and planning to raise. Some founders are enrolling in this bootcamp to prepare for their fundraising journey. However, there are also other founders actively raising and enrolling to improve their fundraising process (get feedback on their pitch, refine their outreach to investors, etc).
All participants can get a full refund, for any reason, by requesting the refund via email before the start of the bootcamp.
