Your Work Should Matter
There is no shortage of big problems facing humanity, but there is a shortage of ambitious startups trying to solve them.
The Founder Institute's mission is to empower communities of talented and motivated people to build technology businesses that positively impact the world, no matter their location, background, race, age, or sexual orientation, and since 2009 we have helped launch over 4,500 companies across six continents.
However, we too often watch talented entrepreneurs pursue ideas with low ambition. As the world becomes more connected and technology infiltrates the very fabric of our society, there has never been a better time for tech startups to make a difference and change the world.
We cannot rely on just government. Entrepreneurs can fix the world's problems.
In order to inspire and empower entrepreneurs to build impactful and ambitious companies, the Founder Institute is unveiling our "FI for Good" initiative.
Over the coming months, we will be announcing a number of programs and fellowships aimed to encourage entrepreneurs of every background to create technology companies that are not only meaningful, but that also aim to solve some of the biggest problems of humanity. Read our FI for Good Manifesto here.
NOTE: Do not apply to the Founder Institute pursuing one of the ideas below just because you think it will increase your chances of acceptance. We are interested in working with passionate entrepreneurs building any tech or tech-enabled business that aims to "touch one million people", and we look for highly talented founders passionate about the business they are building.
