Chicago Founder Institute graduate, Chris Motley, was recently featured on the Chicago Sun Times to share the story of how he successfully launched his startup, BetterWeekdays.com. Despite hardships growing up, Motley earned an MBA from Columbia University in New York, with an emphasis in entrepreneurship, and then went on to launch his first company, BetterWeekdays.com at the age of 31.
Along with his inherent drive plus access to education, Motley cites his hardships as a push towards entrepreneurship. “You learn to grow up quickly and to take risks,” he said.
BetterWeekdays.com focuses on matching professionals with companies based on cultural fit. Similar to many dating websites, Motley and the team believe that a service this will save the applicant and employer time, and increase productivity by placing the right employers in their ideal work environments. Along with launching their beta over the weekend, the team also plans on partnering with local universities to kickstart the job matching process.
