Congratulations to FI Mentor and @Zipcar CEO @rmchase for Starting 2013 off With a Bang
The mentors at the Founder Institute are selected based on both their expertise and success as entrepreneurs. We learn from their mistakes, failures, and most importantly, how they managed to achieve their incredible success. This week we wanted to take the time to congratulate Founder Institute mentor, Robin Chase (Founder and CEO of Zipcar) for the company’s recent sale to Avis Budget Group for $500 million.
Entrepreneur Magazine featured a timeline of the company’s 12 year growth, from their conception in 1999 to their buyout in early 2013. To see Zipcar’s evolution, check out the full article here.
Robin Chase is one of FI’s most revered mentors, and was named Europe’s Highest Rated Mentor in 2011. Her expertise and passion for sustainable, customer focused business are what makes her both a superb business woman and an asset to the Founder Institute. We congratulate Robin and the team at Zipcar, and look forward to hearing more from her in 2013.
