The Founder Institute Doubles Down in the Middle East with the Launch of its 36th Chapter - Alexandria, Egypt
Today we are excited to announce our 36th location - Alexandria, Egypt! In the past month, The Founder Institute has doubled-down in the Middle East, begining with the launch of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia merely two weeks ago.

If you would like to learn more, then join a free event we will be hosting in the coming weeks:
- Startup Ideation Bootcamp: December 17th, 6:00pm
The Founder Institute is an early-stage startup accelerator and global launch network that, in just three years of operation, has helped launch over 650 companies across 36 cities and five continents. Through our part-time four month program, existing and prospective founders can launch their dream company with expert training, feedback, and support from experienced startup CEOs - while not being required to quit their day job. Our unique Graduate Liquidity Pool also enables graduates and mentors to share in the equity upside of each class, creating strong teamwork-based startup ecosystems where great companies can flourish. We call it "Globalizing Silicon Valley."
There are many reasons why the Founder Institute is setting up shop in Egypt. Alexandria is a vibrant city with a nascent entrepreneurship community inspired by the beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea and the most powerful entrepreneurship community in the country. In addition, Alexandria is a low cost of living, a couple of hours away from the crowded capital city, and access to a huge technical talent pool make it an ideal place for launching a global startup.
The Alexandria chapter will be lead by Samer El Sahn (Founder and CEO of Tahrir²) and Hashem Zahran (Founder and CEO of Cloud7Labs).
Expected Mentors for the program include;
- Adeo Ressi, Founder of the Founder Institute
- Amr Ramadan, General Manager of Vimov
- Ashraf Tawakol, CEO of Taya IT
- Khaled Ismail, Managing Director at Intel Mobile Communications
- Mohamed Khedr, CEO of Fatakat & Internet Plus.
