Video: Justin Moore on Establishing a Great Company Culture - Interview by @Kymbee
Kym McNicholas of PandoDaily has recently been following the topic of company culture and wrote an article this past week entitled “World’s Best Multinational Workplaces 2012”, featuring an interview she conducted with Justin Moore of Axcient at the 12th Founder Showcase. As the Founder and CEO of the seventh fastest growing company in Silicon Valley, Justin shared some great insights on how to create a great culture from day one.
Having learned from his own experience with starting two highly successful companies, Justin is a firm believer in the idea that a company's culture is the foundation for which growth can take place. A great culture doesn’t just happen by accident; to build an incredible culture you have to put an extraordinary amount of effort into it. Consistency, systemization, and clear company values and goals will lead to the establishment of a great team.
In the article Kym also mentions SAS, the world’s largest private software company, which topped the list this year of best places to work. The team at SAS attribute's their success to putting employees first. They say the key to creating positive company culture isn’t dependent on office perks, but instead relies heavily on ensuring company loyalty and establishing an environment of value and respect.
Be sure to watch the video below for more great insights from one of Silicon Valley’s greatest business leaders and check out the full article on PandoDaily for more on company culture.
