Blumberg Capital’s @Jon_Soberg Announced as Fifth and Final Judge for the 12th #FounderShowcase
We’ve kept you in suspense long enough – today we are excited to announce the fifth and final judge to join the judging panel for next week’s Founder Showcase. Joining David Hornik (August Capital), Katherine Barr (Mohr Davidow), Noah Doyle (Javelin Venture Partners), and James Cham (Trinity Ventures) is Jon Soberg of Blumberg Capital. These top Silicon Valley VCs represent five of the most notable Venture Capital firms in the area and with the help of their expertise, they will help us launch several promising early-stage startups to greatness.
Jon is a Managing Director at Blumberg Capital and has over 17 years of experience as an early stage investor, entrepreneur, and operational executive, specializing in transactional businesses. Prior to joining Blumberg, Jon held CEO, COO, and CFO positions at a number of startups and has built large organizations from the ground up in several companies. A CFA Charterholder and adjunct faculty in the Wharton Marketing Department, Jon has consulted for top companies including Toyota, HSBC, Neiman Marcus, Capital Group and Accenture. Jon began his career at CMU’s Field Robotics Center, and earned a B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern, and an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing from the Wharton School, where he is a Palmer Scholar.
