LetsLunch, a graduate company of the Silicon Valley Founder Institute was recently featured in TechCrunch Europe to announce the launch of LetsLunch 3.0 as well as their expansion to the UK. The San Francisco based networking company allows professionals to create a social profile with their interests and schedule, and then finds similar users to potentially meet with over a meal. TechCrunch describes LetsLunch as a “professional matchmaking service”, which indeed it is, as it speeds up the networking process amongst industry professionals and allows you to maximize your time both in and out of the office.

The latest version of LetsLunch includes a few new features for convenience, as well as a feature called “Sponsored Lunches”. Similar to LinkedIn’s Premium Job Seeker accounts, service professionals on the site can now pay to "sponsor" themselves to generate more contacts for their business. LetsLunchers are now better able to find people whose services or advice they need, as these sponsored users are shown as featured contacts.

Looking to use LetsLunch in your area? LetsLunch is now live in the UK, France, Netherlands and Italy and, according to their website, are preparing for aggressive expansion across Europe.  We congratulate them on their success and wish them the best of luck in the UK and beyond.

Be sure to check out the full UK launch announcement here on TechCrunch. Rumor has it they even have a few tickets to give away to LetsLunch’s launch party in London this Saturday night, so if you're a London-based TechCrunch reader, don't miss out on your oppotunitiy to meet the LetsLunch team.
