The Silicon Valley-based Founder Institute decided to officially launch in Hong Kong after a successful trial period across the city in February and March that drew over 200 interested entrepreneurs and executives. In order to celebrate the launch, the Hong Kong Founder Institute will host a “Pre-Curriculum” of free events for the general public to learn more from successful entrepreneurs about what it is like to run a business;

I’ve been impressed by the number of top mentors across not only Hong Kong, but all of Asia, that have stepped forward to support and help the future participants of the Hong Kong Founder Institute. Investors are flocking to the city, and there is a strong sense that Hong Kong is positioned to become a major force in international technology and innovation" - Adeo Ressi, Founder & CEO of the Founder Institute.

In less than five years of existence, the Founder Institute has helped aspiring entrepreneurs launch over 2,100 companies across over 110 cities and 6 continents, which have created over 15,000+ new jobs. Through the Founder Institute’s rigorous four-month program, promising entrepreneurs “learn by doing” and launch a company with structured training, expert feedback, and support from experienced startup CEOs - without quitting their day job. Founder Institute Graduate companies boast an 89% survival rate, and include fast-rising startups like Udemy, Retailigence, Appota, and many more.

Leading the Founder Institute’s efforts in Hong Kong is Cedric Delzenne, a successful digital entrepreneur living and loving Hong Kong since 2010.

Opportunities are flourishing in Hong Kong and our city now offers a great ecosystem for entrepreneurs - from crowdfunding platforms to co-working spaces. The Founder Institute can tremendously increase an aspiring technology entrepreneur's chances of success by providing the necessary skills and mindset - and a link to the Silicon Valley!” - Cedric Delzenne, Director of the Hong Kong Founder Institute
