The Founder Institute runs Founder Hotseat Webinars to allow aspiring founders from across the globe to get live feedback on their startup ideas from top Silicon Valley entrepreneurs.

In a special Perth-edition of the Hotseat webinar, Adeo Ressi, the Founder and CEO of the Founder Institute, gave feedback to multiple pitches submitted from aspiring Perth-based entrepreneurs. The Founder Hotseat was co-presented by the City of Perth and Morning Startup.

The best pitch on the webinar, as selected by Adeo, also received the exclusive "City of Perth Pitch Fellowship", giving them the opportunity to participate in the upcoming Perth Founder Institute's four-month entrepreneur training and startup launch program, free of charge.

And after hearing from all the Perth entrepreneurs, the highest-rated was a pitch by Jason O'Neil and his app ClassHomie!

Adeo's key feedback to take Jason's idea to the next level was the need to figure out who his customer truly was;

The person you help is always the person that pays you. Always. This is not an uncommon issue for founders--it's called customer confusion."

Check out the full clip of the winning pitch and Adeo's insightful feedback below:

If you could benefit from expert training and feedback to launch a company, apply to the Founder Institute today. We are currently accepting applications across Australia, in PerthSydney, Melbourne, and many other cities worldwide
