Embarke, a graduate of the San Diego Founder Institute and TechStars alum, announced today they have raised a $1.25 million seed round. Led by Social Leverage with participation from Promus Ventures, Anthem Ventures, Right Side Capital Management, and individual angeles, Embarke will use the investment to continue to grow their client base of email marketers.
Tackling the growing issue of unopened emails and low CTR, Embarke is working to increase engagement through the use of behavioral analysis. They recently partnered with SendGrid, “the first of many distribution partnerships and integrations that Embarke hopes to introduce”.
“Marketing email volume has increased by 20 percent in the last two years, and open rates are down by 20 percent,” says Embarke co-founder and CEO, Al Bsharah. “Something’s got to give.”

Embarke increases opens, clicks, and revenue for marketers by 5%-20%. Using behavioral analysis we're able to automatically deliver emails to their users with content they actually want, and at the time they're most likely to engage. We don't replace the email service providers or marketing automation tools companies are already using, we integrate with them so our customers can turn us on in 15 minutes.
