What’s the Difference Between Starting Up in Silicon Valley and Asia?
While attending this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Adeo Ressi spoke with CNBC News about the challenges entrepreneurs face in Asia and the US.
“I would say entrepreneurs around the world are about the same. They all have a big dream they want to play out”, says Ressi. “The only difference is, Asian markets are booming, and there is much more opportunity today in Asia than there is in any other part of the world. However, it’s a difficult operating environment. There is a lot less capital here in Asia than [Silicon Valley]. Finding the right investors is challenging everywhere in the world, but in Asia it’s harder- there is less money and fewer investors."
