Grad Profile: Slidefish Helps Businesses Collaborate More Efficiently
Grad Profiles highlight the personal and professional stories of Founder Institute Graduates from across the globe.
This profile on Slidefish, a graduate of the Sydney Founder Institute, was written by Emma Tzeng. Founded in 2012 by Stephen Barry and Neil Smith, Slidefish provides tools for users to deliver, share, and comment on presentations and documents on any browser or device.
As online collaboration tools make it easier for remote workers to communicate on projects, businesses are no longer limited to a single workspace. While work becomes more cloud-based and digital, companies should take advantage of the conveniences that modern technology offers when it comes to improving work processes.
Sydney-based startup Slidefish helps businesses collaborate more efficiently across online channels by providing tools for users to deliver, share, and comment on presentations and documents on any browser or device.
With Slidefish, users no longer have to download file attachments and save multiple file revisions: edits save automatically in the cloud for easy, quick access anywhere across all devices. Creating an account is completely free: users simply sign up on the site to start using Slidefish’s services.
In addition, presentation owners can also use Slidefish’s built-in analytics to measure the performance of their presentations, making it easy and convenient to gauge the impact of their work.
Founders Neil Smith, who boasts over 20 years of design, programming, and marketing experience, and Stephen Barry, who has over 30 years of programming and mathematics experience under his belt, clearly understand the importance of online collaboration in today’s digitized workplace. The Australian-based duo plans to expand its operations to the U.S., Europe, and Asia, with goals to “go global, be where the customers are, and grow as fast as we can.”
Earlier this year, Slidefish was chosen to pitch in front of a panel of investors at the 14th Founder Showcase in San Francisco along with five other finalists. As the startup continues gaining ground and adoption worldwide, people everywhere can expect greater collaboration capabilities around presentation sharing on different devices.
