Instead of focusing on growth, she says, focus on momentum. “Anyone can focus on growth - that’s a linear progression. Instead, focus on momentum, your unique identifier”.

Joanna Lord is a seasoned marketer, having led marketing efforts for companies such as Big Door Media and SEOmoz. Her expertise and mentorship for the Seattle Founder Institute earned her the award for Highest - Rated Female Mentor, worldwide.

In addition to focusing on momentum, Joanna also stresses the concept of being unique. Whether it be how you choose the words used to tell your story, or how you approach customer retention, if you aren’t unique, you simply aren’t worth talking about.
