Posted by Jonathan Greechan on 2013-06-25

Today we are excited announce the second speaker at the 14th Founder Showcase taking place at the Microsoft Mountain View Campus: Acclaimed Business Writer and Advisor, Nir Eyal.

On Wednesday, July 17th, Nir will join Phil Libin on stage at the 14th Edition of the Founder Showcase, featuring a series of “How To” workshops for early-stage founders. In addition to Phil’s talk on best practices for new startups, Nir will address the topic of addictive products, and reveal the patterns companies like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest use to keep us coming back.

Nir Eyal writes, consults, and teaches about the intersection of psychology, technology, and business. Nir founded two tech companies since 2003 and today is a Lecturer in Marketing at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. His last company received venture funding from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and was acquired in 2011. In addition to blogging at NirAndFar.com, Nir is a contributing writer for Forbes, TechCrunch, and Psychology Today.

During this workship attendees will learn;

  • The common design patterns of habit-forming products.
  • The stages of habit formation and how to optimize for user retention.
  • An in-depth look at the psychology behind what drives user behavior and how to build products to cater to core human needs.
  • Practical steps for leading a habit design process to ensure your product is used regularly.

We look forward to hearing what Nir has to say on July 17th. Get your tickets today
