Posted by Amity Sims on 2013-03-21

Today we are excited to announce the fifth judge of the 13th Founder Showcase, Andrew McCollum of New Enterprise Associates. On Wednesday, March 27th, Andrew will join Paul Bragiel (i/o Ventures), Ben Narasin (Triple Point Capital), Alex Gurevich (Javelin Venture Partners) and Jon Soberg (Blumberg Capital) on stage, as we help launch several early-stage startups to greatness.

Andrew McCollum is an active angel investor and advisor focusing on the consumer space. Previously, he was part of the founding team of Facebook. He is an Entrepreneur in Residence at New Enterprise Associates (NEA) in Menlo Park and Flybridge Capital Partners in Boston. With approximately $11 billion in committed capital, NEA is one of the largest venture capital frims, with offices in the U.S., India, and China. They largely focus on information technology, health care, and energy technology, and have invested in companies such as Groupon, Gilt Groupe, Salesforce, TiVo, and Vonage.

The 13th Founder Showcase is scheduled to take place on March 27th at the Microsoft Campus in Mountain View. In addition to the entertaining pitch competition, guests will hear keynote speakers Chris Dixon (Andreessen Horowitz) and Keith Rabois (Khosla Ventures) share their opinions on the "Future of Funding".
