Posted by Amity Sims on 2013-03-19

Today we are excited to announced the second member of the Founder Showcase judging panel, Jon Soberg of Blumberg Capital. Jon will join Alex Gurevich, Principal at Javelin Venture Partners, on stage as we help launch several promising startups to greatness.

Jon is a Managing Director at Blumberg Capital and has over 17 years of experience as an early stage investor, entrepreneur, and operational executive, specializing in transactional businesses. Prior to joining Blumberg, Jon held CEO, COO, and CFO positions at a number of startups and has built large organizations from the ground up in several companies. A CFA Charterholder and adjunct faculty in the Wharton Marketing Department, Jon has consulted for top companies including Toyota, HSBC, Neiman Marcus, Capital Group and Accenture. Jon began his career at CMU’s Field Robotics Center, and earned a B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern, and an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing from the Wharton School, where he is a Palmer Scholar.

The 13th Founder Showcase is scheduled to take place on March 27th at the Microsoft Campus in Mountain View. In addition to the entertaining pitch competition, guests will hear talks from keynote speakers Chris Dixon (Andreessen Horowitz) and Keith Rabois (Khosla Ventures).
