Alex Gurevich of Javelin Venture Partners to Judge the 13th Founder Showcase

Posted by Amity Sims on Mar 18, 2013

Today we are excited to announce the first of five members of the 13th Founder Showcase judging panel, Alex Gurevich of Javelin Venture Partners.

Alex is a Principal at Javelin Venture Partners where he focuses on consumer web, mobile, e-commerce, big data analytics, and enterprise. He is currently active on the boards and has bled investments in Coterie, Thumbtack, Engrade, PowerCloud Systems, and Skytree. Prior to joining Javelin, Alex was a Principal at DFJ Aurora, where he helped establish one of the first venture capital funds focused on high tech investments in Russia and Eastern Europe. Alex holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was co-President of the Venture Capital Club, a leader of a Global Study Trip, and a Board Fellow. He also holds a B.S. in Management Science and Engineering, a B.A. in International Relations, and an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.

“Javelin cares about people, first and foremost”, says Alex. “We empathize with our entrepreneurs because we have been in the trenches before and know just how challenging and rewarding the road to disruption can be.”

Joining Alex will be 4 additional investors serving on our judging panel, which will be announced later this week. At the event, the Judges will help us launch several early stage startups to greatness as they evaluate and provide feedback for participants of both our Pitch Competition and Demo Table Competition.

In addition to the entertaining pitch competitions, guests will also hear talks on the “Future of Funding” from Chris Dixon (Andreessen Horowitz) and Keith Rabois (Khosla Ventures).

Tickets are still available but will sell out soon. Click here to reserve your seats today.
