As the Founder and CEO of Next Jump, a New York based company that boasts one of the highest retention rates in the tech space, Charlie Kim is an expert in vision, values, and vibrant company culture. In this talk from the New York Founder Institute, Charlie shares his wealth of knowledge with new founders, on the basics of starting up and what it takes to build a meaningful and enduring technology company.

Charlie Kim is the CEO and Founder of Next Jump ,a company that manages Employee Rewards programs for 70% of the Fortune 1000 companies. Next Jump works with 90,000 companies covering 100mm+ users globally. With a serious focus on self improvement and intrinsic culture, the company’s motto is ‘Better you + better me = better us’.

Lastly, Charlie discusses the motivation behind starting a company in the first place. If money is your ultimate goal, consider a career elsewhere. At a startup, “extrinsic markers of success aren’t going to cut it”, says Charlie, “To stay motivated, you’ve got to find happiness in helping others”.
