Le Founder Institute recrute environ 30 à 40 Mentors par Semestre, qui sont le plus souvent des CEOs ou fondateurs de startups ayant réussi. Les Mentors sont séléctionnés sur leur capacité à transmettre les leçons qu'ils ont tirées de leur expérience sur des sujets précis du curriculum et ils aident les Fondateurs participants en partageant ces expériences. Les Mentors sont à la disposition des Fondateurs durant les sessions ainsi que par email. Le partage des bénéfices à l'interieur de chaque semestre au sein du pool renforce la collaboration avec les Mentors.
L'Institut recrute certains des Mentors après le début du semestre pour affiner les besoins des Fondateurs avec l'expérience des Mentors.

Alain Meller founded NovaXone in 2009 a Management Consulting firm with a particular focus on Marketing Strategy: his clients are companies of all sizes using technology as a core asset of their offers in various sectors: IT and Internet pure players, B2B providers in Energy, Healthcare, Hospitality and Telecom. In his career, he held several positions in technology: he was part of the initial team of ILOG as member of the management board, led one of the major product then was instrumental in the industrialization of the company. Pour cela, il a enregistré le domaine eu.org en août 1995 (à l’époque, il fallait plusieurs semaines de délai pour obtenir un nom de domaine) et redistribué depuis gratuitement plusieurs centaines de sous-domaines.
