About Eren Bali:
Eren Bali, one of the first Founder Institute grads, is the co-founder of Udemy, a startup that aims to democratize educations by allowing anybody to teach and learn online. He founded Udemy with Gagan Biyani and Oktay Caglar. Prior to Udemy, Eren worked at SpeedDate as a founding engineer and Director of Engineering while the company grew form 0 to 10 million users in 2 years. He also worked as a developer at BitGravity in very early stages.
Eren graduated from METU (Turkey) with a degree in Computer Science and a double major degree in Mathematics. He won several awards in Mathematics, Physics and CS including a 2nd position in International Mathematical Olympiad.
He started his first company during the last year of college, where they created interactive 3D simulations of real estates while they are still being constructed. Later on with Oktay Caglar, they started working on a government supported project where Turkish entrepreneurs were educated by European mentors in a live classroom setting. That project seeded the ideas and products behind Udemy.
Udemy is the world’s largest marketplace for teaching and learning. More than 8,000 expert instructors have published online courses on Udemy on everything from programming to yoga, marketing to guitar, photography to cake decorating, and so much more. Over 3 million students in 190+ countries are taking these courses to advance their careers and pursue their passions. For more information, visit www.udemy.com

Founder Institute Program: From Idea to Company in 14 Weeks without quitting your full-time job
The Founder Institute runs an intensive program that conditions people to think and act like successful technology company leaders. Once a week at night, three CEOs come in and talk to enrolled Founders about a key area of expertise needed to run a startup. Then, Founders go out and actually build their business following a roadmap of company-building assignments. The Founders are divided into Working Groups of their peers to share expertise and insights. The combination of CEO mentorship, a structured approach and experienced peer exchange leads to very good outcomes:
