Frontier Tech Fellowship

 

Through the Frontier Technology Fellowship, any Founder building "Frontier Technology" can apply to the Boston Founder Institute for free, and the applicant that demonstrates the highest potential for societal impact will be invited to participate in the Founder Institute's startup launch program for free as well.


There is no shortage of big problems facing humanity, but there is a shortage of ambitious startups trying to solve them. However, more than ever before, entrepreneurs building impact-focused companies can truly change the world.

Through the Frontier Technology Fellowship, the Founder Institute aims to inspire and empower ambitious entrepreneurs to pursue world-changing problems, and create transformative change for humanity. Through this Fellowship, any Founder building "Frontier Technology" can apply to the Boston Founder Institute for free, and the applicant that demonstrates the highest potential for transformative change will will be invited to participate in the Founder Institute's startup launch program for free as well.

Top founders with ideas or companies addressing some of the hardest problems facing humanity will be considered for the Frontier Technology Fellowship, including (but not limited to) ideas across (1) Biotech/ Healthcare, (2) Cleantech/ Emissions, (3) Food/ Water, (4) Energy/ Transportation, and (5) Space Exploration.


Eligibility: In order to be eligible for the Frontier Technology Fellowship for the upcoming semester, you must complete your application and admissions test by Sunday, March 26th, 2017, using this link.


Grant: The recipient of the Frontier Technology Fellowship will be awarded within 5 days after the deadline.

Social Innovation Fellowship

 

Through the Social Innovation Fellowship, any Founder building "Social Innovation" products can apply to the Boston Founder Institute for free, and the applicant that demonstrates the highest potential for social impact will will be invited to participate in the Founder Institute's startup launch program for free as well.


We believe that entrepreneurs building mission-based companies that harness the power of the market have the opportunity to create lasting social change. With the growing inequity and injustice on the planet, entrepreneurs have a unique opportunity to create equal opportunity for all of humanity to thrive and prosper.

Through the Social Innovation Fellowship, the Founder Institute aims to inspire and empower ambitious entrepreneurs to build companies with a meaningful social mission. Through this Fellowship, any Founder building a "Social Innovation" product can apply to the Boston Founder Institute for free, and the applicant that demonstrates the highest potential for positive social change will be invited to participate in the Founder Institute's startup launch program for free as well.

Top founders with ideas or companies addressing some of the hardest problems facing humanity will be considered for the Social Innovation Fellowship, including (but not limited to) ideas across (1) Poverty/ Starvation, (2) Minority Empowerment, (3) Housing/ Urban Planning, (4) Governance/ Democracy, or (5) Transformative Education. Non-Profit companies will also be considered for the fellowship, but we wholeheartedly believe that the alignment of a social mission with market economics provides the clearest path for transformative change.

The Institute identifies corporate supporters to reduce both the time and the costs of setting up a high tech business. Local partners are currently being recruited for this semester.
