London has a fast growing startup ecosystem, and entrepreneurs here are lucky to have so many resources available to help them in their journey. However, many people don't know about all of the resources available, the differences between them, or what resources are right for them. At "How to Start Up in London", we will gather representatives from different entrepreneurial organizations to give a quick overview of who their audience is, and then host a panel moderated by a top local journalist to discuss the startup ecosystem and the opportunities available.

Philip Hunt - CEO Mobikats

CEO of Mobikats Ltd and Mobikats Enterprise. We are experts in delivering mobile applications and proximity based mobile experiences using iBeacon technology. Our client base includes blue chip businesses such as Microsoft, NCP and Bauer Media to start ups such as Shopitize, Zoopla and many more. I have 20 years of experience working on the coal face of new technology, from developing the first drinks retailer on web in 1994 for Whitbread to working with international giants such as Microsoft and Yahoo in senior roles both in the UK and US. 

Roland Whitehead - CEO Quru

Founder of Quru - aspiring to be the UK's leading open source solutions company. Having trained and practised as a naval architect and industrial designer I moved to designing software as a result of a desire to make complex information simple. From software design it was a simple step to coding. I now have 25 years of experience in the IT industry, have been nominated as one of the world's top 25 CTOs and has been included in the list of the top 100 CIOs. I have been passionate about open source since 2000 and am a member of the open source hardware foundation, 40 Fires.
