I have 20 years of experience working on the coal face of new technology, from developing the first drinks retailer on web in 1994 for Whitbread to working with international giants such as Microsoft and Yahoo in senior roles both in the UK and US. 

Roland Whitehead - CEO Quru

Founder of Quru - aspiring to be the UK's leading open source solutions company. Having trained and practised as a naval architect and industrial designer I moved to designing software as a result of a desire to make complex information simple. From software design it was a simple step to coding. I now have 25 years of experience in the IT industry, have been nominated as one of the world's top 25 CTOs and has been included in the list of the top 100 CIOs. I have been passionate about open source since 2000 and am a member of the open source hardware foundation, 40 Fires.
