Founder Institute Fellowships

The Founder Institute offers a number of different Fellowships, providing opportunity for promising founders to launch a company in our startup accelerator program, free of charge.

See the list of Fellowships being offered for the Shenzhen Fall 2014 Semester below, and be sure to apply by the Early Admissions Deadline of 2014-10-29 to be eligible.

 

The HAXLR8R Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary applicant from the HAXLR8R Community, giving them the opportunity to enroll in the Bay Area Founder Institute for free. The recipient will be recognized as somebody with the utmost potential to become a successful technology entrepreneur.


The Bay Area Founder Institute is excited to partner with an organization that shares our goal of fostering a strong local startup ecosystem: HAXLR8R, a leading hardware incubator. Through the HAXLR8R Fellowship, everyone from the HAXLR8R community is invited to apply to the Bay Area Founder Institute for free, and the best overall applicant from the community will receive a Fellowship to participate in the program for free as well.


Eligibility: In order to be eligible for HAXLR8R Fellowship for the Template Semester, you must complete your application and admissions test by the Early Admissions Deadline (2008-02-11), using this link.


Grant: The recipient of the HAXLR8R Fellowship will be awarded within 5 days after the Early Admissions Deadline.

The ZTE Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary applicant from the ZTE Community, giving them the opportunity to enroll in the Bay Area Founder Institute for free. The recipient will be recognized as somebody with the utmost potential to become a successful technology entrepreneur.


The Shenzen Founder Institute is excited to partner with an organization that shares our goal of fostering a strong local startup ecosystem: ZTE, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solution. Through the ZTE Fellowship, everyone from the ZTE community is invited to apply to the Shenzen Founder Institute for free, and the best overall applicant from the community will receive a Fellowship to participate in the program for free as well.


Eligibility: In order to be eligible for ZTE Fellowship for the Template Semester, you must complete your application and admissions test by the Early Admissions Deadline (2014-10-29), using this link.


Grant: The recipient of the ZTE Fellowship will be awarded within 5 days after the Early Admissions Deadline.

The Female Founder Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary female applicant for each chapter, giving them the opportunity to enroll in the Founder Institute for free. The recipient will be recognized as a female with the utmost potential to become a successful technology entrepreneur.


The Founder Institute is committed to narrowing the gender gap in high tech startups. When we announced the Female Founder Fellowship program in 2011, only 16% of Founder Institute companies were founded by females. Since then, the results of this program have been astounding, as our overall number of female-founded companies has increased over 70%, to a total of approximately 35%. Eligibility: In order to be eligible for the Female Founder Fellowship for the Shenzhen Fall 2014 Semester, you must complete your application and Admissions Test by the Early Application Deadline of 11:59 PM on 2014-10-29. Any female who follows those guidelines will be automatically eligible - no further steps are required.


Grant: The recipient of the Female Founder Fellowship will be awarded within 5 days after the Early Admissions Deadline.

The Technical Founder Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary applicant for each chapter with a strong technical background, giving them the opportunity to enroll in the Founder Institute for free. The recipient will be recognized as somebody with the utmost potential to become a successful technology entrepreneur.


Eligibility: In order to be eligible for the Technical Founder Fellowship for the Shenzhen Fall 2014 Semester, you must complete your application and Admissions Test by the Early Application Deadline of 11:59 PM on 2014-10-29. Anyone who follows those guidelines will be automatically eligible - no further steps are required.


Grant: The recipient of the Technical Founder Fellowship will be awarded within 5 days after the Early Admissions Deadline.
