Founder Institute Fellowships

 

The Founder Institute offers a number of different Fellowships, providing opportunity for promising founders to launch a company in our startup accelerator program, free of charge.

See the list of Fellowships being offered for the Silicon Valley Spring 2013 Semester below, and be sure to apply by the Early Application Deadline of Sunday, February 24, 2013 to be eligible.

 

The Female Founder Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary female applicant for each chapter, giving them the opportunity to enroll in the Founder Institute for free. The recipient will be recognized as a female with the utmost potential to become a succesful technology entrepreneur.

The FFF is part of the Founder Institute's ongoing effort to surpass 30% of female-led companies graduating from the program. When we announced the program in 2011, 16% of Founder Institute companies were founded by females. Since then, the results of this program have been astounding, as our overall number of female-founded companies has increased 62%, to a total of 26%. This is more than twice as high as most other incubators.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible for the Female Founder Fellowship for the Silicon Valley Spring 2013 Semester, you must complete your application and Admissions Test by the early Application Deadline of 11:59 PM on Sunday, February 24, 2013. Any female who follows those guidelines will be automatically eligible - no further steps are required. 

Grant: The recipient of the Female Founder Fellowship will be awarded within 72 hours after the Early Application Deadline.

The Applicant Distinction Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary applicant for each chapter, giving them the opportunity to enroll in the Founder Institute for free. The recipient will be recognized as somebody with the utmost potential to become a succesful technology entrepreneur.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible for the Applicant Distinction Fellowship for the Silicon Valley Spring 2013 Semester, you must complete your application and Admissions Test by the early Application Deadline of 11:59 PM on Sunday, February 24, 2013. Anyone who follows those guidelines will be automatically eligible - no further steps are required. 

Grant: The recipient of the Applicant Distinction Fellowship will be awarded within 72 hours after the Early Application Deadline.

The Startup Our Veterans Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary military veteran or active service member applicant for the San Diego Founder Institute, giving them the opportunity to enroll in the program  for free. The recipient will be recognized as a veteran or service member with the utmost potential to become a succesful technology entrepreneur.

The Founder Institute is happy to announce the "Startup our Veterans Fellowship" - a program designed to foster entrepreneurship in the military community, and help veterans create jobs. Through “Startup our Veterans”, the best, qualified veteran or service member applicant to the San Diego program will receive a Fellowship to participate in the world-renowned company-building program free of a course fee.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible for the "Startup Our Veterans" Fellowship for the Los Angeles Summer 2013 Semester, you must apply using this link, and complete your Admissions Test by 11:59 PM on May 19th, 2013. Any military veteran or active service member who follows those guidelines will be automatically eligible - no further steps are required. 

Grant: The recipient of the Startup Our Veterans Fellowship will be awarded within 72 hours of the deadline.

The University of Phoenix Partner Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary applicant for the Hawaii Founder Institute from the University of Phoenix, giving them the opportunity to enroll in the program for free. The recipient will be recognized as a someone with the utmost potential to become a succesful technology entrepreneur.

The Hawaii Founder Institute is excited to partner with University of Phoenix, an organization that shares our passion for providing a strong learning environment for professional adults. The winner of the University of Phoenix Partner Fellowship will be recognized as someone with the utmost potential to become a succesful technology entrepreneur. 

Eligibility: In order to be eligible for the University of Phoenix Partner Fellowship for the Honolulu Summer 2013 Semester, you must complete your application and Admissions Test by the early Application Deadline of 11:59 PM on Sunday, June 2nd, at http://fi.co/join/phoenix

Grant: The recipient of the University of Phoenix Partner Fellowship will be awarded within 72 hours after the Early Application Deadline.
