Founder Institute Fellowships

 

The Founder Institute offers a number of different Fellowships, providing opportunity for promising founders to launch a company in our startup accelerator program, free of charge.

See the list of Fellowships being offered for the Winter 2010 Houston Semester below, and be sure to apply by the Early Admissions Deadline of 2010-10-23 to be eligible.

 

The Start-Up Chile Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary applicant from the Start-Up Chile Community, giving them the opportunity to enroll in the Founder Institute for free. The recipient will be recognized as somebody with the utmost potential to become a succesful technology entrepreneur.

Start-Up Chile is an organization that shares the Founder Institute's passion for helping technology entrepreneurs in Chile. Through the Start-Up Chile Fellowship program, everyone from the Start-Up Chile community is invited to apply for free, and the best overall applicant from the community will receive a Fellowship to participate in the Founder Institute for free.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible for Start-Up Chile Fellowship for the Spring 2014 Semester, you must apply to the program by 2010-10-23. You must be a current or past SUP Chile alum. You also must have the special code to do so. If you want the code please email Daniela Lee and ask for the link to apply that we gave them.

Grant: The recipient of the Start-Up Chile Fellowship will be awarded within 72 hours after the Early Admissions Deadline.

The Wayra Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary applicant from the Wayra community, giving them the opportunity to enroll in the Founder Institute for free. The recipient will be recognized as somebody with the utmost potential to become a succesful technology entrepreneur.

The Santiago Founder Institute is excited to partner with an organization that shares our goal of fostering strong local startup ecosystems across the globe - Wayra,  Telefónica Digital's global startup accelerator. The winner of the Wayra Fellowship will be recognized as a member of the Wayra community that has the utmost potential to become a succesful entrepreneur.

The Female Founder Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary female applicant for each chapter, giving them the opportunity to enroll in the Founder Institute for free. The recipient will be recognized as a female with the utmost potential to become a succesful technology entrepreneur.

The FFF is part of the Founder Institute's ongoing effort to surpass 30% of female-led companies graduating from the program. When we announced the program in 2011, 16% of Founder Institute companies were founded by females. Since then, the results of this program have been astounding, as our overall number of female-founded companies has increased 62%, to a total of 26%. This is more than twice as high as most other incubators.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible for the Female Founder Fellowship for the Winter 2010 Houston Semester, you must complete your application and Admissions Test by the early Admissions Deadline of 11:59 PM on 2010-10-23. Any female who follows those guidelines will be automatically eligible - no further steps are required.

Girls in Tech, Women 2.0, Founder Friday Fellowship

Eligibility: In order to be eligible for this Fellowship for the Spring 2014 Semesters, you must apply to the program by 2010-10-23. You must be a current member of one of these organizations.

Grant: The recipient of the Applicant Distinction Fellowship will be awarded within 72 hours after the Early Admissions Deadline.
