Who is the Guest Mentor?

Desmond Lee - CEO & Co-Founder, Appxplore

Graduated with a BFA (Computer Arts) in 1999 from Academy of Art University, San Francisco. Desmond Lee worked in the United States for 5 years as: Multimedia Designer at Garmin International, Art Director at Digital Pipe Inc. and Streaming Media Specialist at Fantastic Corp.

Returned to Malaysia in 2004 and worked as a consultant specialised in New Media. In August 2004, he was appointed by Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) as a consultant to assist Saladin Special Project and later became the producer of Saladin The Animated Series (26 Episodes), which was nominated for the International Emmy Awards 2011 – Malaysia first Emmy nomination.

In 2011, Desmond co-founded Appxplore Sdn Bhd with the goal to establish a world-class mobile game and content development studio in Malaysia. He has produced 5 mobile games so far with over 7 millions download globally. In 2014, Appxplore got acquired by Fatfish Internet Group.

Thomas Yip - CEO & Founder, Radica Software

Thomas is an electrical and electronics engineer by training, having been educated at the French Singapore Institute, graduating as a second top student. Upon declining offers for further studies in France, he has always been interested in entrepreneurship, and spent 15 years as an engineer designing automation systems for factories before starting his own software company - Radica Software.

Radica Software has sold over a thousand licenses to 42 countries including the likes of Apple, NASA, US Army, US Navy, Ford, Bombadier and many more.
