About the Speaker

Thomas Forest Farb has three decades of experience as a venture capitalist, entrepreneur, senior executive, mentor and Board Member in both public and private and in technology and life science companies in Massachusetts, California, Florida, Puerto Rico and China. Mr. Farb has been directly involved in founding more than twelve companies, in raising more than $500 million of equity and in merger & acquisition transactions of more than $2.4 billion. Mr. Farb is a Mentor at the Founder Institute and a Senior Advisor at the Microsoft Innovation Center, both in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he mentors entrepreneurs. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of numerous companies including Fair Isaac (NYSE: FIC), Redwood Trust (NYSE:RT), Retek Systems (NASD:RETK), and Symon Communications (NASD:RMGN). He has been a Trustee of numerous non-profit organizations including the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Asia America Chamber of Commerce, Partners Healthcare, three private schools and two museums.
